WHY OWNERS CALL CORVATA

Most owners recognize their situation before they recognize the pattern.

Every prospect arrives through one of six entry points. Recognizing yours is often the first useful thing this conversation does.

There isn’t one moment that brings a GovCon owner to this conversation. There are six, and they show up in a fairly consistent order of frequency.

  1. Profitability and working capital issues — Cash is tighter than the revenue numbers suggest it should be, and the financial statements aren’t explaining why. The cause is almost always structural: rates mapped incorrectly, costs assigned to the wrong pools, or pricing that doesn’t reflect the true cost of delivery.
  2. Sluggish business operations — The business is performing, but everything feels harder than it should. Decisions take longer than they used to. People with real titles don’t have real authority. Nothing is in crisis, just friction that keeps compounding.
  3. Growth through new contracts — A major win has outpaced what the operating architecture can support. New task orders keep arriving faster than the team can staff and deliver them.
  4. A planned transaction or transition — An exit, recapitalization, or leadership change is somewhere in the next one to three years, and the business isn’t yet where it needs to be to support it.
  5. Compliance and audit issues — A DCAA audit returned findings, CMMC is due, or ITAR controls are inconsistent. The exposure is visible. The operating structure hasn’t caught up to it.
  6. Growth through acquisition — Targeted acquisitions are adding capability, contract vehicles, or cleared personnel faster than the business can actually integrate them.

These aren’t six separate problems. They’re six different doors into the same underlying question: does this business run on structure, or does it run on you?
